Madras Week Celebrated At Velammal

In connection with Madras Week Celebrations, Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus, organized an awareness seminar on ‘SAGA OF MADRAS” for the students of Class VI to VIII on 23rd August 2018 to brief about the history of Madras in its campus. Ms.Geetha, C, Asst.Professor, Dept. of History and Tourism, SDNB Vaishnav College for Women, Chrompet. conducted the session which focused on the origin of Madras and how Chennai is known for its culture, geographical features, new developments such as Medical tourism, IT industry. On the whole, Madras Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and students found the session to be useful and informative.
