Tree Bank Enviro Team surveyed Srihar Nagar, Gopurasanallur, Kattupakkam, Chennai and found there is not even a single tree in that residential area containing around 1500 houses. Tree Bank had contacted the residents to motivate them to plant tree saplings to give good future for their kids. Under "Vanaththukkul Chennai" Project, Tree Bank had formed a group and organised tree plantation program on 01.05.2018. Tree Bank team joined them and supply tree saplings at free of cost and train them how to plant and maintain trees.
Each kids of the area had joined this program considering this as a summer camp and adopt a sapling and taken oath to water them and maintain them with care and to plant the sapling at their school on Environmental Day. All the residents were inspired by this program and plant saplings near their houses.
