Sri Krishna Sweets honours music teachers for their excellence

Sri Krishna Sweets jointly with Sri Krishna Gana Sabha under the banner ‘Naal Thorum Nalathu Seivom’ is organising ‘Adhisaya Ragam Anantha Ragam’ a series on introducing different ragas creating awareness among younger generation by Isaikkavi Ramanan. Musicians Smt. Jayalakshmi Sekhar and Sri. Thillaisthanam Suryanarayanan was honoured with Sri Krishna Sweets Nallor Virudu in presence of Isaikkavi Ramanan. Jayalakshmi Sekhar hails from a family of musicians her guru being her father research scientist, Sri CS Krishnaswamy. For Veena her first guru was Sri Pudukottai Jayarama Iyer. Smt. Jayalakshmi has performed all her life from a young age with her father on the flute, violin when they were living in Malaysia, and after moving to Chennai during her high school and college years on the flute and veena. Sri. Thillaisthanam Suryanarayanan is one among the top percussionists.
 
He has accompanied many stalwarts in carnatic music. He strongly feels that an artiste should always try to scale greater heights than remain contented with his achievements. Sri Isaikavi Ramanan with Sri V Balasubramanian and Sri Bhaskaran in flute explained specified ragas like Malaiyamarutham and Karakarpriya in detail. Sri. Bhaskaran the flute maestro transcends all boundaries and limits by the universal appeal of his music. He has received several recognitions including the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Astana Vidwan citation, Silver flute Award from the Music Academy Chennai, All India Radio competition award.
