Poet Nandivarman from Sydney honoured in Chennai

Sri Krishna Sweets organise social awareness programs all through the year under the banner ‘Naal Thorum Nalathu Seivom’. Sri Krishna Sweets jointly with Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan organised ‘Kalangalil Avan Vasantham’ a program by Sri Isaikavi Ramanan. Each and every month a popular guest is invited and is honoured with Sri Krishna Sweets ‘Therntha Rasigar Virudu.

The program conducted on Kalaignar Kannadasanhighlighted the views of the speakers about Kannadasan. Poet Nandivarman from Sydney was the chief guest of the evening at the Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Main Hall in Mylapore. Sri K.N. Ramaswamy, Director, Bhavan’s  Chennai presided over the function and gave away Sri Krishna Sweets ‘Therntha Rasigar Virudu’ to Poet Nandivarman jointly with Sri Gandhi Kannadasan and felicitated him in presence of Sri Isaikavi Ramanan. 

Admirers of Kannadasan were thrilled to celebrate an evening with Poet Nandivarman who rendered lyrics of immortal evergreen hits penned by the late poet Kannadasan with Sri Isaikavi Ramanan on the dais. Poet Nandivarman praising poet Kannadasan said he was a Tamil poet and lyricist, heralded as one of the greatest and an exclusive flow of Tamil language. Poet Nandivarman said Poet Kannadasan is a school dropout and had studied up to 8th standard but had an abundant knowledge on art of living. Poet Nandivarman said lyrics of poetKannadasan emphasized that there can be no gain without pain.
