Chennai: Phoenix Market City in association with International Kids Couture hosted a dynamic kid’s fashion event conveying the message, ‘Confidence is Beautiful’ on With United Colors of Benetton as the title sponsor, the high-end fashion jamboree had a spectacular display of talents showcased by budding stars of Chennai. On registration, 30 enthusiastic kids attended a fun-filled workshop on 17th June where they were exposed to new ideas and views on beauty trends, taught proper etiquette and how to be confident on stage with a different perspective of fashion. On the day of the International Kids Couture event, the tiny tots were given a makeover by special kids’ salon DIVAS & DUDES, as they looked their adorable best whilst parading high-end premium brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Allen Solly Junior and GAP Kids.
“We are thrilled to bring together a group of highly energetic and talented kids, fantastic brands from Phoenix MarketCity to stir up a mesmerizing kids fashion show”, said Anu Basavaraju, CEO of International Kids Couture.To make the evening all the more exciting, Anjana Padmanaban, the winner of the first Indian Idol junior, opened the evening with a peppy number ‘ZoobiDoobi’ from the movie 3 Idiots. She looked ravishing with minimal makeup emphasizing the message, ‘Confidence is Beautiful’. Shoppers were completely awestruck by the amount of confidence the teeny-boppers exhibited. Partnering with a NGO ALFAA (Assisted Living for Autistic Adults), the event saw the participation of two autistic children living their dreams by being a part of the fashion parade!
The onlookers had a heart-warming experience watching aunique performance by some very special kids, as they walked the stage with a wide-eyed smile, waving to all! Speaking at the event, Mr.Murugan Rajan, Centre Director, Phoenix MarketCity, said: “We are happy to be a part of this high-powered event in association with International Kids Couture to support and encourage children to perceive the truth about fashion. It was lovely to watch parents gleam in pride as their children took over the stage, learning the importance of self-confidence in today’s world.”
