An acknowledged clinical and healthcare business leader and entrepreneur, he is a graduate and postgraduate from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi and served there in professorial positions in Radiology. He was awarded the Prof V P Lakhanpal Gold medal for Contributions to Indian Radiology by the Indian College of Radiology and Imaging. In 2005, he was head hunted to come to UK and served at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. He has over 100 peer reviewed international publications and several chapters in books. He has lectured and presented his work widely across the world in his academic capacity. He has also served in several private hospitals in London, including the London Bridge Hospital, Blackheath Hospital and the Chelsfield Park Hospital and has previous experience of working/training in hospitals around other parts of the world such as USA (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center) and Australia (The Royal Women’s and Brisbane Hospital).
He has been involved in several healthcare start-ups, including a Cancer hospital, an Aesthetics clinic and the multicentre Lycahealth facilities in London (lycahealth.com). He co-founded LycaHealth in 2014 and provides leadership, strategy, vision, business development and the necessary network. The company has invested nearly 27 million pounds in the multinational start-up under his leadership. His long term dream is to eventually start a social enterprise to make healthcare low cost and accessible for the underprivileged. This dream remains unfulfilled from 20 years ago when he lost his best friend, an oncologist due to cancer, with whom he was close to setting up a Cancer Hospital. This irony of fate has never left him. His interests include futurism, mHealth, reading and blogging (on Linkedin).
