There are number of MTC buses being operated from Thiruvanmiyur bus terminus towards ECR, OMR, Thiruvottiyur,Tollgate, Broadway, East Tambaram, Velachery, Guindy, ICF and Perambur. Presently dedicated bus bays for route numbers has been set up at the terminus to prevent confusion for commuters and to easily locate their route numbers. Regular announcements are made through a public address system about buses leaving the terminus through out the day. Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has earmarked bus bays for its fleet of route numbers so as to keep buses out of traffic, running on time and prevents bus bunching.
