Free eye check up and free cataract surgery camp was held on 5th March,2017 in Namadhu Illam, Choolai. A student from Madras Christian College led the camp with coordination by students from Loyola College, SAASC, and Patrician College. Eye doctors from Radhatri Nethralaya attended the camp to treat patients. The camp was organized with the help of Rotary Club and the president and secretary of Rotary club was the chief guest of the camp.
The total beneficiaries of the camp was about 75.Out of 75 people, there was 19 cataract referral , 6 retinal evaluation, 4 refractive error, 2 allergies, 7 glasses. All the students heartily thanked Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Founder-Secretary of Indian Community Welfare Organisation ( ICWO )and his team who gave their valuable support to conduct the camp successfully.
