"Meet the Balanethra Babies" an event to meet the babies who had benefitted from Balanethra project was arranged by Rotary club of Chennai towers (RCCT) recently at Radhatri Nethralaya. Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Dr. Vasumathy Vedantham, said that Project Balanethra, spearheaded by Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation, public charitable trust of Radhatri Nethralaya, was a project aimed at providing free vision preserving laser surgery for preterm babies from urban slums and villages, with the blinding condition called ROP.Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. C. Krishnachander, said RCCT, which has been supporting the project for several years, had sponsored for the treatment of 39 babies in the last year alone. Rotary district Governor Rtn Natarajan Nagoji interacted with the parents.
