Seminar on Wild Life Week

Chennai District EIDC and WWF-India jointly organised a one day seminar on " wild life week " on  15.10.2014. Mr.Daniel Moses, Dy. Inspector of Schools ,Chennai East District inaugurated the seminar in the presence of G.Thangaraj, Centre in charge,EIDC, and instructed the teacher coordinators to keep their school campus a plastic free one. Around 120 teacher coordinators from Chennai East educational district had participated.

Mr.S.Saravanan Sr.Educatioal Officer WWF-India demonstrated the importance of Wild life week being observed during this period and chalked out the various activities a school can involve for the conservation of biodiversity through school children. Mr.Anto ,Trustee CHANGE trust briefed the enviro activities carried out in schools. Environmental awareness magazine on Biodiversity by WWF was given to all participants. Mr.Banerjee teacher coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
