Skill training programme inaugurated

National Institute for empowerment of person with multiple disabilities (NIEPMD) organised a skill training programme for person with multiple disability under Prime Ministers National Council Skill Development programme. This event was targeted to empower 500 million individuals with improved skill and knowledge to gain access for decent employment by the year 2022.

In this regard, SCARF(I) was identified one among the organization to conduct tailoring and embroidery as primary skill training program for the mentally ill clients. An inaugural programme was launched on Saturday 06-09-2014 in SCARF premises, Anna Nagar West. This programme was inaugurated by Justice Mr.Vaidyanathan, Judge, Madras High Court.

It is a 6 month training programme. Nearly 25 clients will be benefited and training completion certificate will be issued by NIEPMD for all the participants.
