Keep Police numbers on Speed Dial

Keeping police phone numbers on speed dial, installation of CCTV facility and magic eye on house front door were some of the safety tips given to Anna Nagar residents during a Police-Senior Citizens Interaction meeting held at C.Kandaswami Naidu College for Men on 15th August 2014.The safety awareness meeting organised by K4 Police officials was aimed at preventing crimes from happening to senior citizens.

Since prevention is always better, a power point presentation on crime prevention was screened to alert the area residents. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr.B.Nandakumar, Anna Nagar Range gave interesting safety tips to the elders using examples. Mr.George Miller, Inspector of Police, K4- Anna Nagar Police Station interacted with the elders in a friendly manner. As a kind service gesture the elders were also taken back home by the policemen in police patrol cars. By Elwyn
