T.I. School wins Nature Painting Competition

WWF-India celebrated Nature Conservation Day and International Tiger Day at the museum auditorium. Mr.J.R.Ashokan Asst Director (Tech), Egmore Museum inaugurated the painting (nature in my backyard) and Poster (mysteries of Tiger) competitions for 375 NGC/Eco club/nature club students. Mr.G.Thangaraj, Center in charge, Environmental Information Dissemination Center(EIDC),Environment Department spoke on students role in conservation of Nature with a presentation of various school activities, environment workshops , seminars and nature camps.

Mr.S.Saravanan,Senior, Educational Officer,WWF detailed the various activities by nature clubs and the necessity of our Biodiversity maintained by Tigers. Sri. J.R.Ashokan who appreciated the NGC students' efforts in biodiversity conservation presented the prizes and merit certificates to the winners in Painting (T.I. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, MTH Road) and Poster ( Chennai Girls HS School, Nungambakkam).Students presented slides and poems on nature. The event was well organized in association with Government Egmore Museum, Chennai.
