Importance of Greenery highlighted to children

Tree Bank Environment team Celebrated the 7th Birthday of M.Dharsha in Chennai on 22.07.2014. Dharsha celebrates her birthday by distributes sweets & saplings to their friends and a plant to the earth. We motivate the every children of the school to plant a sapling on their birthdays. Tree Bank founder Mr. G.Mullaivanam conducted the programme. 

Alpha Arts and Science college students, Chennai and Tree Bank volunteers join in the programme. As urban areas of the world continue to grow, there is a great opportunity to improve cities, making them healthier for people, simply by increasing greenery. By adding more greenery to cities, significant amounts of pollution and dust can be filtered out. Increased tree cover in cities also works pretty well to reduce city temperatures during the summers, potentially saving on cooling costs and electricity use for the cities inhabitants.
