Chennai District National Green Corps (NGC) conducted a one day workshop on "Herbal plants" at RKM Sarada Vidyalaya Girls HS School. About 145 teachers from North, Central, South and East Chennai Districts participated in the workshop. Mr.G.Thangaraj EIDC, Chennai In-charge inaugurated the workshop and instructed teachers to maintain a medicinal Garden in all schools with minimum available saplings.
S.Rajasekaran District Eco Club Coordinator demonstrated various varieties of saplings and their uses. He also explained the daily usage of a few medicinal saplings which can be kept in houses. It is planned to conduct such programs in neighbouring cluster schools in this academic year.
