Dilapidated overhead tank is very dangerous!!

A badly dilapidated overhead water tank at Adhi Nadu Street in Villivakkam is now posing a threat to all the road users and area residents. Moreover the residents stated that the old building structure is hindering vehicle movement and needs to be demolished at the earliest. Adhi Nadu Street is a busy vital link between MTH Road and New Avadi Road. But the water tank stands as a big obstacle. 

Mr.K.Ramadoss, General Secretary of North Chennai District Exnora stated that as a public safety measure, action to remove the structure will be welcomed by the residents and motorists who regularly face inconvenience while passing the structure. Residents further stated that the place below the tank has become an eye sore with dumped waste materials. J.C. D. Prabhakar, MLA, Villivakkam Constituency has also given an authorized letter to the metro water board authorities to remove the structure immediately because it can fall down at any time.
