Additional Pre-paid auto booth at Koyambedu CMBT

An additional pre-paid auto service booth has been launched at the Chennai Moffusil Bus Terminus in Koyambedu. The pre-paid auto service would be useful for many passengers. A number of autorickshaws were part of the pre-paid system at Koyambedu. The stand is near the main entrance hall and exit gate. Chennai traffic police are also still conducting surprise checks with the help of the law and order police to ensure that auto drivers use meters.

In order to help the general public, Chennai City Traffic Police have set up Auto assistance booths in important traffic signals junctions across the city.In a step towards recognizing law-abiding autos a bright red sticker is pasted on selected autos. Moreover, a blue sticker is also on the auto’s which says checked runs on meter charges. Chennai City Traffic Police have also conducted a number of awareness programmes about the revised autorickshaw fares to drivers and passengers. The recently launched pre-paid auto assistance booth is helpful to the passengers.
