Pedestrians plight at Shanthi Colony signal junction

Anna Nagar has mostly one way stretches. The roads don’t have signals or a particular pedestrian crossing point. Pedestrians face risk crossing intersections along Anna Nagar Second Avenue and Shanthi Colony Main Road. Crossing the 3rd Avenue and Shanthi Colony 4th Avenue signal junction has become a dangerous task for pedestrians.

Vehicles coming from Anna Arch never slow down or spot to give a chance for pedestrians to cross the road. Parking of share autos at the bend adds to the problem. Pedestrians need to be cautions while going along the 13th Main Road in Anna Nagar West. The area residents suggested that speed breakers will avoid over speeding. Anna Nagar residents hope that the Traffic Police Department will take better action to ensure safety of pedestrians.
