In order to create more awareness and increase the voting turn out, demonstrations on the use of electronic voting machines were conducted by Chennai Corporation Zone 8 on Saturday,5th April 2014 at Anna Nagar Second Avenue, near Blue Star bus stop, in front of Hotel Saravana Bhavan. The event was aimed to raise awareness on voting among the general public.
