The vehicle driving space along Anna Nagar Third Avenue stretch which connects Round tana junction with ICF and New Avadi Road has been reduced to facilitate the diversion channel project undertaken by the Water Resources Department. A diversion channel construction work for taking excess water from otteri nullah has been going on for months.
A huge gap has been dug up in the center of the road for placing the box type channels. At, present the construction work has shifted near the round tana junction. Chennai Corporation has blacktopped the dug up stretch between K4 junction and 5th Avenue. Work on installing a center median is also in progress. Anna Nagar East residents look forward towards a speedy completion of the project so as to ease traffic snarls.
