Green Thumbs Up for Chennai Corporation!

Chennai Corporation had recently conducted a competition to promoting roof top kitchen garden concepts in Chennai city. The response by residents towards the roof top fruit and vegetable kitchen garden contest was very encouraging. Chennai Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy inaugurated the event in the presence of Mr.Vikram Kapur I.A.S, Corporation Commissioner. 

The event witnessed active participation from many environmental friendly individuals. Mrs.Pushpa Bai, Assistant Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Ayanavaram Branch participated in the event and emerged an award winner. She has always been interestedin plants and setting up green gardens. She also uses unique concepts to promote greenery. 

The main objective of the function was aimed to promote the habit of growing vegetable gardens. The function organised by Chennai Corporation as part of Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa, birthday celebrations had many environmental benefits.
