Eco workshop for Corporation School Teachers

CPR Environmental Educational Centre and Environmental Information Dissemination Centre (EIDC), Department of Environment , Government of Tamil Nadu,Chennai-112 jointly organised a two days workshop for 120 NGC teachers in Chennai East and Chennai (Corporation) schools at CPR centre. Mrs.M.Jayanthi IFS additional Director, DOE inaugurated the workshop highlighting the measures taken by the department and insisted the teachers to be more cautious on plastic waste and to improve the recycling processes. 

G.Thangaraj, Centre in charge EIDC welcomed the gathering and presented details of the activities carried out in schools by NGC students for a better environment. Dr.Sudhakar, Deputy Director, CPR presented a power point presentation on plastic waste and on the teacher’s role to prevent pollution hazards. Mr.Thirunavukkarasu EO of the centre demonstrated a practical session on making paper bags from the waste.
