6th Foundation Day Celebrations

Chennai Metro Rail Limited recently celebrated its 6th Foundation Day. Chennai Metro Rail Managing Director, Thiru Pankaj Kumar Bansal, IAS, Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Commercial Tax, Government of Tamil Nadu, Thiru K.Rajaraman IAS., addressed the gathering on the occasion. All Directors, CGMs and GMs of CMRL, DMRC and GC officials along with other officers and staff of CMRL participated in the celebrations. As part of celebrations a short skit was also performed by officials of Chennai Metro Rail.

According to official Chennai Metro Rail sources, the third tunnel boring machine of UAA 04 package (L&T, SUCG (JV)) has started its tunnelling works from Pachaiyappa’s College to Kilpauk. About 32 meters of tunnelling has been completed. About 900m has to be tunnelled to reach Kilpauk station. Chennai Metro Rail is aimed at providing the city residents a a safe, fast, reliable, accessible, convenient, comfortable, efficient and affordable public transport service.
