In a bid to prevent frequent sewage blocks, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) used a jet rodding machine to clear a manhole at 100 Feet Road in Thirumangalam.
Metro Water officials said that they would be desilting manholes using jet rodding machinery to remove blocks and silt in the sewer lines. Chennai Metro Water is carrying out desilting works in various parts of Anna Nagar, Mogappair, and Villivakkam in order to ensure that sewers do not get clogged.
