Prevention is
better than cure and health is wealth. Keeping this concept in mind, All India
Malayalee Association, Tamil Nadu State Unit in association with Chennai Mahila
Association had organised a Cancer Detection camp for ladies with the help of
Cancer Institute, Adyar on 30th November 2013 at Velammal Matriculation
Higher Secondary School premises at Mogappair.
The camp consisted of a medical
checkup and consultation from cancer experts. The camp got a good response from
the public.
Pamphlets giving information about the importance of early
detection of common cancers by regular health checkups were distributed to all
the people who attended the cancer awareness camp.
