K. Kumaran, a resident of 37/19, 12th Avenue, Ashok Nagar suffering from cerebral palsy has written an autobiography in Tamil titled ‘Aanandha Thaandavam.’ It was released on 21st December by Dr. Solomon Paappayya (Pattimandram fame) in presence of Parvathy Viswanath (Director, AIKYA, Center for special children), Dharani (film Director) and other eminent personalities.23-year-old,Kumaran said that concept for writing book on his autobiography was given by his parents Ilango Kumananan and Karpagam.
He said that 132 pages book consists of 14 chapters on various topics it includes about his condition of cerebral palsy and the challenges faced in life by him, tackling hardships with smile, on self confidence, love for mother, his friends, interests, liking for films, his belief in god, message to the differently abled and their parents and other youths. Ilango and Karpagam said that Kumaran born in 7 months and later diagnosed he was affected with cerebral palsy. Till date therapy is being done to Kumaran daily by therapist, otherwise he will be in poor health condition, they added.
They said that Kumaran studied in normal school till Std. 5 and later joined in National Institute of Open Schooling, where he successfully passed Std.10 and 12 in distinction. Std. 10 and Std. 12 board exam in National Institute of Open Schooling.
He done M. Sc. Counseling Psychology (studied in Madras University) and he is doing Ph.D in Psychology in Bharathiar University. Kumaran is fluent in Tamil ,English, Hindi and French languages, they added.
Kumaran with support of his Prof.R. Krishnamoorthy is giving councelling for all problems it includes stress relief, personality development, career guidance, life style management, youth councelling and family problems at his residence.
