Chennai Metro Water is carrying out desilting works in various parts of the city in order to ensure that sewers do not get clogged during rains. In a bid to prevent frequent sewage blocks and overflow, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) used a jet rodding machine to clear a manhole in front of Asiad Colony along East Main Road in Anna Nagar West Extension area.
Latest equipment is used by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) to undertake manhole cleaning in an effective way. Metro Water officials said that they would be desilting manholes in and around Anna Nagar area using jet rodding Lorries and desilting machines.
