Anna Nagar neighbourhood mainly consists of three major parts, namely- Anna Nagar East, Anna Nagar West and Anna Nagar Western Extension.
For the people of Anna Nagar East, there are two local libraries. One library is at ‘L’ block and another is at Shanthi Colony.Anna Nagar Western Extension has got a library at Park Road near the Siva Vishnu Temple. The present library at the Anna Nagar Western Extension is housed in a small room.
But unfortunately, there is not a good library for the residents of Anna Nagar West. It is reported that find a space or place is the main bottleneck in providing a local library at Anna Nagar West. Anna Nagar Welfare Association request the authorities to initiate quick action for setting up a local library at Anna Nagar West
