Koyambedu 100 Feet Road Needs to be Pedestrian Friendly

Traffic signals are helpful in regulating vehicle movement and allow pedestrians to cross safely. The traffic signals at the entrance of Koyambedu CMBT do not function properly. There are also no permanent traffic policemen at the junction to regulate traffic movement and ensure safe crossing for pedestrians.

Motorists have been complaining about non-functioning signals at places in and around Koyambedu 100 Feet Road. There is heavy traffic congestion in front of CMBT terminus and during peak hours and it takes a very long times for MTC buses to cross the signal intersection. Now days crossing 100 Feet Road, Koyambedu has become an ordeal for pedestrians.

Due to non-functioning signals, vehicles do not stop for pedestrians to cross the roads. Pedestrians need to be given first preference in any traffic management programme.Let the concerned authorities take measures to activate the signal in front of Koyambedu CMBT at the earliest for the benefit of the general public.
