Be Cautious While Driving On Koyambedu Flyover

Koyambedu flyover has become an accident-prone area. A recent tragic accident has pointed out that

motorists need to be more cautious while driving on the flyover and taking the side loop roads. Lack of speed breakers is making the flyover risky particularly for two-wheelers. Koyambedu flyover connects Poonamallee High Road and is used by many vehicles including heavy vehicles. 

Traffic Police stated that over-speeding and overtaking of vehicles on the curve while on the flyover are some of the major reason for accidents. It is also reported that vehicles while negotiating the curve try to overtake other vehicles leading to head-on collision with vehicles coming in the opposite direction. Speed breakers and warning board’s needs to be installed on the flyover. Traffic police advises motorists to be more cautious and alert while driving along the Koyambedu flyover.
