To observe World Heart Day 2013, Frontier Lifeline Hospital (Dr. KM Cherian Heart Foundation) joined hands with Chennai Traffic Police and several students to organise a ‘Walkathon’ to create awareness on heart diseases. Actor Surya was the special guest for World Heart Day-2013 walkathon.
The event was flagged off at Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Mogappair by Mr. Arun (IPS), Joint
Commissioner of Chennai Traffic Police and got concluded at Vellammal High School, Mogappair.
This year the theme for “World Heart Day” focused on the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases in women and children. Dr. KM Cherian, Chairman & CEO, Frontier Lifeline Hospital said “The aim of this walkathon on World Heart Day is to increase the awareness about heart diseases. School students from Vellammal, SBOA, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Chennai Public School participated in the Heart Day Walkathon.
