Senior citizens went along the walker’s path in the Anna Nagar Tower Park premises on 1st October 2013 carrying placards displaying the messages such as “Walk for health”, “Walk for fun”, “Walk for joy” etc. The event was held to mark World Elders Day.
The walkathon was flagged off by Mr.C.Dorairaj,IPS,(R), former Additional Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu Government. Pamphlets explaining the good health benefits of walking were distributed to all the people at Tower Park.
The walkathon was organized by Tamil Nadu Senior Citizens Association which functions at Old No.V-95,New No-78, 5th Main Road, Anna Nagar,Chennai. For more details contact 26213908, 26213850.
