Small Bus Service Introduced At Koyambedu

Metropolitan Transport Corporation has introduced small bus services from Koyambedu CMBT to Vadapalani. The new route S31 is operated from Koyambedu to Vadapalani via Avichi School, Virugambakkam, Sridevikuppam, Ganga Nagar, School Road and Maduravoyal Errikkarai. Another small bus route S32 is operated between Vadapalani and Shenoy Nagar Thiru-Vi-Ka Park via Poonamallee High Road, Anna Arch and Aminjikarai.

With an aim of providing better connectivity in Chennai city suburbs, Honourable Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa had flagged off 50 mini buses and 610 new buses on 23-11-2013 at Nehru Stadium.

The mini bus services were launched for providing enhanced connectivity to interior residential areas which lacks proper public transport facility. The small buses are a boon for people living in areas which have poor transport facility. The mini buses have 27 seats and the tickets are reasonable priced.
