The photograph taken shows the ongoing construction work for the underground metro train station along 3rd Avenue Road, near roundtana junction in Anna Nagar East.
It is also reported that the construction work at the underground Metro station near Blue Star junction on 2nd Avenue Road, Anna Nagar is going on a rapid speed.
According to Chennai Metro Rail official sources, all 105 diaphragm wall panels are completed at Anna Nagar East station box. Excavation for roof slab and strut fixing is also completed.
All 104 diaphragm wall panels are completed at Anna Nagar Tower station. The corridor -2 of Chennai Metro Rail Project would have underground stations at Kilpauk Medical College, Aminjikarai,Shenoy Nagar, Anna Nagar East, Anna Nagar 2nd Avenue and Thirumangalam.
Chennai Metro Rail project aims at providing the people of Chennai with a fast, reliable, convenient, efficient, modern and economical mode of public transport, which is properly integrated with other forms of public and private transport including buses, suburban trains etc.
