During the past few days there has been traffic congestion at Thirumangalam junction. Due to the traffic blocking along 100 Feet Road, the vehicles heading towards Mogappair, Ambattur and Padi were diverted to take the 13th Main Road route, which is already a one-way congested stretch.
During peak hours there is a long pile up of vehicles from Koyambedu junction.
To ease traffic congestion in Thirumangalam junction, a flyover is under construction at Thirumangalam. Traffic Police have also made changes in traffic movement at 15th Main Road.
All vehicles coming from Ambattur Estate Road are now going below the flyover taking 15thMain Road to reach 13th Main Road and Second Avenue. Earlier the vehicles took6th Avenue and 18th Main Road stretch to reach 13th Main Road. Motorists feel that effective regulation and smooth roads will ease traffic congestion at Thirumangalam junction.
