Thirumangalam Corner Poses A Risk For Pedestrians

Pedestrians face great risk while walking along the Thirumangalam junction corner near 100 Feet Road. The open dug up spot and cables poses a hindrance to easy pedestrian movement. Pedestrians said that ongoing Thirumangalam flyover construction work has created problems in crossing 100 Feet Road during peak hours.

The problems for the pedestrians were compounded further due to badly laid footpath on several of these roads. The space near the footpath was dug up for laying cables and has not been re-laid properly. When it rains the entire stretch becomes waterlogged, muddy and slushy. This poses a danger to motorists and pedestrians alike.

Motorists have also stated that battered 100 Feet Road surface near the Thirumangalam junction has not been restored properly.

Let the concerned authorities close the open spots near the pedestrian path at Thirumangalam at the earliest as it is posing a serious threat to their safety and repair the damaged surface along 100 Feet Road.
