The Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition 2013 was inaugurated on 2nd September, 2013 at Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar with the lighting of the Kuthuvilakku. Dr. P. Sivakumar, Director, CVRDE, a renowned scientist of International repute graced the occasion as the chief guest. Mr. D.T. Sudharshan Rao, the Regional Officer, CBSE, Chennai was the Special Guest.
The need for competitive spirit and innovative educational system was stressed upon by the correspondent Mr. D. Balaji. The Principal Mrs. Bhuvana Shankar of Chennai Public School welcomed the gathering and conveyed her sincere thanks to the Central Board of Secondary. A stupendous response was received for the exhibition from nearly 115 schools with 397 participants who exhibited their projects under the Main topic “Science and Society.” Various working models and many creative exhibits were displayed excellently by the students.
