Creating More Awareness On Revised Auto Fare

The Tamil Nadu Government has introduced the revised auto fares. Chennai City Traffic Police has been conducting several meetings and campaigns with auto drivers and the general public about the revised auto fare. V5 Thirumangalam

Traffic Police have placed hoardings about the new auto rates at Thirumangalam 100 Feet Road-Mogappair Road junction and at Shanthi Colony 4th Avenue -100 Feet Road intersection. Thirumangalam

Traffic Policemen stuck notices inside autos and issued pamphlets to the auto drivers. In all the hoarding it is clearly mentioned that the minimum charge is Rs.25 for the first 1.8 kilometers. For every additional kilometer Rs.12 is charged. The waiting charge for every 5 minutes is Rs.3.50 and for an hour it is Rs.42. An additional charge for 50 percent on the days fare is taken into account at night service between 11pm and 5am.
