Training Programme On Kitchen Gardening

Kitchen garden is a place around the home to grow vegetables, fruits and herbs for our own use. 

The requirement of vegetables and fruits can be partly met with the kitchen gardening. Apart from this, medicinal plants can be grown in kitchen garden can cure certain human diseases. 

Family members residing in urban and rural areas can spend their leisure time in effective way in maintaining the kitchen garden. 

It is better to learn the techniques in raising the plants viz., seedling production, watering, manuring and plant protection measures to grow our own food. In this context, one day training programme on “Kitchen Garden” will be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Information and Training Centre, Tuesday (27.08.2013) between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm. 

The programme will be useful to the local public in and around Chennai. Training certificates, lunch will be issued to all participants.
