KTCT Girls Alumni Association Celebrates Friendship Day

KTCT Girls Alumni Association launched a ‘Change for change’ project for mobilizing fund for conducting special classes for Std. 10 and 12 of KTCT Girls Higher Secondary School, Parrys Corners in a friendship day function ‘Sneham’ held in PRCC Centenary Hall, 21/11, Venkataraman Street, T. Nagar on8th August 2013 as part of Friendship day celebration.

S. Sridhar (Cine actor) his spouse Dr. Republica Sridhar (Founder, RMD Palliatiave Care Trust, T. Nagar) inaugurated the project. Sujatha Ramesh Babu said that aim of the project to provide snacks and reading atmosphere for the students of Std. 10 and 12 attending special classes after school hours in the school premises.She further said that ‘Change for change’ project it’s about members will be save few coins everyday at their residence and it will be deposited in a fund raising box every month during their monthly meet. Sujatha he said that there are more than 300 students and it may cost Rs.10 for each student which is estimated Rs.3000 for a day.

Though special classes will be begin nearing board examinations. Sujatha said that Association also adopted 10 students and providing all amenities. She said that Association donated Rs.5000 to Sishu Vihar (an orphan home) on the occasion.Sujatha said that Association consists of more than 100 actives members residing in T. Nagar, West Mambalam, Ashok Nagar, K. K. Nagar and nearby areas.
