The Chennai Metro Rail project is an upcoming rapid transit system in the city. Construction work for a new roof is in progress at the elevated Koyambedu Metro Train Station in CMBT premises.
The roof framework is expected to be completed within weeks. Koyambedu Metro station which is currently under construction is one among the elevated stations coming up along corridor II of the Chennai Metro project between St. Thomas Mount and Koyambedu Vegetable Market
