Ensure MTC Bus Stops Are Off Limits To Autos

Due to parked autos and share autos, Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses are not able to properly halt in the space allocated for bus stop at Anna Nagar Second Avenue, Thirumangalam and at MTH Road, Padi bus stop. 

Everyday bus passengers waiting at bus stops are put to lots of inconvenience because of the menacing autos and Tata magic vans. Chennai City traffic Police (CCTP) and MTC authorities have joined hands to control the problem and finding out a best possible solution. 

Separate bays have been set up for share autos to pick up and drop passengers but the system is not 100 percent successful. Despite warnings by Traffic Police autos are still found standing in front of busy crowded bus stops blocking bus and public movement. 

The general public wants the Chennai City Traffic Police and Metropolitan Transportation Corporation officials to ensure hassle-free access at city bus stops.MTC sources stated that measures are undertaken to ensure trouble-free entrance for buses at bus stops within Anna Nagar area.
