residential blocks. Most of the colonies have good roads, pedestrian paths,
parks and children’s play areas. The Chennai Corporation officials have also
undertaken a number of improvement and development projects at many residential
localities situates around Anna Nagar West, East and also at Anna Nagar Western
Extension. Welcome Colony is a quiet residential area located at Thirumangalam
in Anna Nagar Western Extension. The beauty of this colony is spoiled by battered roads. The open drains in the colony pose a risk and health hazard to the area residents. A few streets are in a bad shape and needs to be re-laid. Besides improving roads and drains, the colony surroundings need to be cleaner and free for uncleared garbage’s and road side debris.
