The introduction of new buses
during the past few years by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has
given the city passengers a comfortable travelling experience. However for many
people waiting at the bus terminus is an unpleasant experience.
Every time it
rains, water stagnates at the entrance and exit of the Anna Nagar West bus
terminus. The muddy and slushy water poses a lot of hardship to the passengers.
Elders, women and children find it very difficult to walk into the terminus.
Many passengers stated that the main reason for stagnant rain water is due to
no proper outlet and the concerned authorities should address the issue
immediately. The entry and exit points of the busy Anna Nagar West bus terminus
always turns into a small pond of stagnant muddy rain water during the monsoon
season.
The water stagnates at the same place for days together causing
inconvenience to the public. Let the Metropolitan Transport Corporation officials
make necessary efforts to clear the stagnation of rainwater and put a permanent
end to the problem which has been occurring for a very long time.
