Road Side Debris Removed

Uncleared debris continues to eat into Chennai’s road space. Chennai Corporation is giving priority to cleaning bus routes roads in Anna Nagar.

 Road side debris along 13th Main Road, Anna Nagar was removed by Chennai Corporation on Saturday, 22nd June 2013.

Corporation officials stated that removing debris will prevent it from becoming a hazard to motorists and pedestrians. To maintain a clean road drainage system, residents are advised by the civic authorities to avoid dumping debris and waste materials in front of storm water drains.

 Chennai Mayor Saidai S. Dura­i­s­a­my also announ­ced a sch­e­me for the civic authorities to clear the debris and the roadside encroachments. Chennai Corporation had already begun a special exercise to clean up streets in all the zones.
