Curb Rash Driving In Anna Nagar Residential Localities

One-way roads have proven to be a useful method for easing traffic flow in Anna Nagar, especially in congested areas where the underground metro train station work is in progress. 

Anna Nagar 13th Main Road and Shanthi Colony 4th Avenue are residential locality. But the one way diversion has made the locality a bus route area. Today, heavy vehicles are zooming through residential streets in Anna Nagar. 

The drivers of vehicles overtake dangerously along narrow streets. This has become a big menace for the residents and there is a big risk for the pedestrians. Members from various welfare associations have stated that several streets and lanes in Anna Nagar which are largely residential are increasingly beginning to resemble noisy main roads. 

Right from heavy vehicles to an annoying array of motorbikes, vehicles take the smaller lanes to reach their destinations. Perhaps using public hearings and with more stringent monitoring by Traffic Police will solve the current problems faced by the Anna Nagar residents. Anna Nagar and Thirumangalam Traffic Police officials stated that they are doing their best to minimize the inconvenience caused to the Anna Nagar area residents.
