Cables hanging from road light posts
especially along center medians are a common sight in Chennai. No action is
taken to ensure the cables are placed properly. The motorists are the ones at
risk. No taught is given for safety of road users by the individuals who erect
the cables.
Tangled and messy cables also pose hindrance to pedestrians while
crossing the road. A permanent solution to keep Chennai roads obstacle free is
the need of the hour.
