Prevention Is Better Than Cure!!

An awareness talk for senior citizens on the topic titled Pneumococcal Disease and Its Prevention in older adults by guest speaker Padamashri Dr.V.S.Natarajan,MD,FRCP(Edin)D.Sc (Hon)Senior Geriatrician and honoury member of Anna Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association was conducted on 28th April 2013 at The Clinik located at Park Road, Anna Nagar West Extension. Dr.V.S.Natarajan, spoke about various diseases and preventing methods. He stated that prevention is always better than cure. Dr.V.S.Natarajan said that personal hygiene, consumption of badam, gooseberries and lime is good for health because it improves body resistance and immunity. 

He also spoke on the health benefits of adult vaccination. Dr.Sheila Sekar, MBBS, D.A.,F.C.D, Family Physician and Diabetologist spoke on Adult Immunization. The programmes was jointly organised by The Clinik in association with Anna Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association. Mr.K.Chandrasekaran, President of Anna Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association was present on the occasion. The Association secretary, Mr.M.S.Varadarajan, proposed the vote of thanks.
