Good Health Awareness Programme

  Rajaji Sat Sangam, in a meeting held at Vazhga Valamudan Hall conducted a Humour Session in which many students, housewives, professionals and senior citizens participated with enthusiasm.  

All the participants were awarded with prizes by the Chief Guest, Shri S.V.G. Subramaniam of “C.U. shah Eye Bank” of Sankara Netralaya and other dignitaries present on the occasion. 

Shri S.V.G. Subramaniam spoke about the importance of eye care and eye donation and distributed pamphlets urging every one present to take a pledge to donate eyes so as to give sight to the children and the needy that have lost their sight. Rotarian Dr. K. Janardhanan, spoke in detail about dental care especially by the children and senior citizens. 

He gave details of technological improvements and facilities now available and emphasized the need to take care as unhygienic teeth may cause cancer. Shri Keeranur Ramamurthy who presided lauded the various activities of Rajaji Sat Sangam and about the healthy life style and food habits to be followed; which he said, played an important part in safe-guarding eye sight and teeth in good condition. Shri K.R. Krishnan, President welcomed the gathering. Shri K.L. Lakshmanan, Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
