Work On Channel Is Proceeding At A Rapid Pace


The Otteri Nullah diversion channel project has been given a new lease of life. Construction work is progressing at a rapid pace to carry excess water from the Otteri Nullah to the Cooum River. Precast concrete structures are used to create the concrete diversion channel. 
 The stretch of Third Avenue, Anna Nagar, has been barricaded for the purposes of this project and traffic, diverted. 
 The box-type channel is at present under construction near Anna Nagar K4 police station. The project to improve Otteri Nullah, has been much-awaited by the residents of Anna Nagar East. 
The project comes under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. Motorists using Anna Nagar Third Avenue request the concerned authorities to expedite the work at the earliest.
